In addition he has won many awards in photographic competitions throughout the United States. His work hangs in galleries around the country, and is in private and corporate art collections in several states.
Scott won first place in photojournalism in the first annual Black & White Spider Awards. In the third annual Black & White Spider Awards, two of his portfolios were nominated for prizes. And in the fifth annual Black & White Spider Awards, one of his photos was nominated in the Abstract category, and another won 3rd place in the Nature category. His work is featured in The World's Greatest Black and White Photography: A Collection of Photographs from Black and White Spider Awards, published in 2006.
